Health Care Reform | I hear a lot about "Health Care Reform" in reference to a single payor system. This is not reforming health care, it is simply changing who writes the reimbursement check. To truly revolutionize health care in this country requires smashing the monopoly set up by Rockefeller. As long as the citizens continue to be brainwashed and financially enslaved to the allopathic model of sickness care, there will be no true reform in health care. True health care is about maintaining and restoring natural function, not removing parts and hijacking body chemistry with drugs.
C. Everett Koop told us in 1988 that our hope lies in prevention of chronic disease, since the search for cures is fruitless and treatment is cost-prohibitive. Western medicine, while very effective in acute, life-threatening crises, has no drug nor surgery to offer this hope for resolution of chronic conditions. At best the symptoms are kept at bay while the body continues to degenerate. Yet, those choosing to remain outside the control of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries are required to compete against multi-billion dollar marketing budgets that imply otherwise. And guess who is winning.
In fairness to the consumer, let's level the playing field. Let's stop the federal subsidizing of the pharmaceutical industry. Federally funded research requires full financial disclosure EXCEPT for pharmaceutical companies. We are expected to take their word for how much they spend to bring a drug to market as justification for exhorbitant prices. Let's stop the subsidizing of medical education by the pharmaceutical industry. Let's stop marketing drugs directly to the consumer.
Let's give other licensed professionals access to programs that help repay their student loans when they practice in underserved areas. Having a six-figure debt hanging over you makes it that much more difficult to succeed in a wellness practice model.
Above all, let's give everyone equal access to safe, natural protocols that aren't killing hundreds of thousands of patients yearly.

NBA - Sonics | Personally I could care less that the Sonics are leaving. I for one am sick and tired of public financing guaranteeing billionaires hundreds of millions in profit.
I also think that Bennett and his partners are liars. This was all a contrived and calculated plan to grab and snatch the Sonics, but in the end, when you think of your Ok. City basketball team, you can all relish in how you got them. Through lies and fraud.
Bennett can say what he wants, but the reality is that he had no intentions of making any effort to keep the team in Seattle and everyone knows it, including everyone in Oklahoma.
What did you have to give to get them? We have a very good and serviceable arena in Seattle, but Bennett demanded more, a completely unacceptable package designed to foment opposition. He demanded the very best and most expensive arena in all of the NBA and complete autonomous control of it -- a 1/2 billion dollar arena and exhibition center complex, completely funded by the public and Bennett would have complete control of the entire facility and pocket all of the profits.
Is that 'good faith', or a calculating liar? |

Sonics | You may be able to steal our Sonics with lies and backroom deals with Commissioner, but they will never be yours. Most of the players have said in private that they won't re-sign if they are in Oklahoma City. Why would you want a team that doesn't want you?
You might want to make sure that you know where the CBA teams are, because those will be the only players that will want to be there. None of our heroes of the past like Gary Payton will show up in Oklahoma City, even to retire his jersey. They were Seattle SuperSonics, and that is how they want to be remembered. They all know what a sham this is. |
